Inspired by the looms that created the beautiful tapestries in the Raphael Room and the love of music in the Gardner, I wanted to combine weaving and music to create a live performance of weaving creating music—physically and auditory. I used sheet music to design the weave pattern then performed weaving alongside a improv musicians
The Gardner museum is a total work of art! Isabella’s legacy of installing inspiration to Boston’s community is still prevalent. Christian Restrepo and I co-curated and crested garments for the nasturtium party celebrating the life of Bill Cunningham. The looks were all created as a response to the museum and the soul of Isabella herself.
